  • The preferred steel service center for Turkish industry
  • An increase in both turnover figures and profitability was achieved for the third consecutive year. In relation to the previous year the total volume of goods delivered increased by 10%, reaching a new record level of 416,000 tons during 2011.
  • Production expenses were reduced by 15% in response to the rise in capacity utilization rate and production line based efficiency projects that were implemented
  • Our Supply Chain Management Model and the integration with Borçelik have allowed the implementation of successful measures with relation to efficient stock control and on time delivery performance.
  • The Bursa branch attained the ISO TSE 16949 quality certification which is a prerequisite for providing service to the domestic automotive industry.
  • Technical training and seminars pertaining to flat steel were provided to 155 participants from 15 different industrial companies which are customers. Sales and customer technical service teams carried out more than 4,500 customer visits during the year.
  • All branches reported the highest delivery and turnover figures on record.
  • In line with rising internal and external customer expectations the second phase of IT investments was initiated. This undertaking is scheduled to continue during the course of the next few years.
  • Lean management applications were initiated at the Bursa branch. These applications will also be implemented at our facilities in Tuzla during 2012.
  • Within the framework of our geographical expansion targets the opening of the new Adana Steel Service Center enabled us to strengthen the multiple branch structure that we presently have in the Turkish market.
  • At the start of each year new targets concerning the environment are determined at Kerim Çelik and an Environment Management Program that is suitable to these objectives is prepared.
  • Kerim Çelik is presently putting into action environmental projects which aim to minimize contaminated waste, as well as reduce electricity and water usage.
